lately

been hanging on you
been talkin bout things
maybe we shouldn't
been lettin the great lack a-comin
cushion our head-long
rush into
each other

say maybe this
or that someday
not pull back
cuz the brakes are already on
somewhere along the road ahead
so it'll take a mechanical
failure
to hold us to our
projections.
